South side of dam where the two individuals sadly died the day after I kayaked the river upstream. Two young men were canoeing on the south side of the dam and intentionally ventured too close to dam into the turbulent, foaming waters causing the canoe to flip over. One of the young men was tossed into calmer waters and was able to climb out with only some facial lacerations. The second young man died as well as a 48 year old adult man who leaped into the water to try and save the young man. Several hours later and only moments after the police cleared the area for boaters, a 30 year old kayaker narrowly escaped death after paddling into the same turbulent water.

The bike path around the west side of the pond. This is a very nice and lengthy bike path and extends south into Kensington Park.

There is a very nice mountain bike trail next to the paved bike path. I biked a portion of it that was in between the paved bike path and the lake. This section was very scenic being right next to the water. Other portions of the mountain bike path were on the other side of the paved bike path.
