More information on the house is available on the various outbuilding on the grounds on the Ford House web site here. The Powerhouse provided power and heat to various buildings and the pool on the grounds. The main house and Power House are still heated today by two of the original boilers installed in 1927. A third boiler was used to heat the pool, but has not been used since Mrs. Ford's death in 1976. 160-foot underground tunnel connects the Power House to the main house.
