Island Lake Recreation Area, Brighton, MI
This is a map at the park Trailhead on the west side of the park. This is also where mountain bikers start from to bike the yellow and blue trails. There are restooms and drinking fountain here. The photos in this gallery start from here and go west all the way to Kent Lake.
There are sections of the paved path that look like you are up north in the deep woods due to the mature pine trees. These are my favorite parts of the path.
This is the section that runs along side the main road in the park.
This is a sample of the mountain bike paths. They are very curvy!!
I now have arrived at Kent Lake.
This is the view of the Huron River after the water went down a dam to the top right of this photo. It looked like a nice area down there to hang out with very shallow water to wade in.
This is the area around Kent Lake in the Fall when the grass is greener. The photos above where from a very hot day in July.
This last photo is the beach at Spring Mill Pond. There are numerous different beaches in Island Lake Recreation area, e.g. Kent Lake, Spring Mill Pond, etc.
