Hubbell Pond, Milford, MI - Michigan Biking, Kayaking, Walking

My camera was accidentally set to the wrong setting for some of these pictures. This is a small bridge on the property of the YMCA this is at the north west corner of the pond after the Kensington two-lane bike path ends. Another bike path immediately picks up which I took east down Commerce Road to Main Street and downtown Milford to eventually loop back in a circle to where I started.

Heading up to Main Street. I took a left into a parking lot with some nice establishments like a Starbucks and another, smaller dam and waterfall with cool seating on the rock wall

This was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and there were many, many kayakers, canoers and even surfers out on the river. The river is a gorgeous one to ride.

This surfer is just getting up from having gone under a low bridge from the Proad Lake side of the river east.

You paddle down the river standing up. Cool!

I took a quick side bike down Huron RIver Street before heading back up back onto GM ROad back to the parking area I started at.

Wouldn't it be nice to own a home on this river. You can ride motorized boats on this river too, but the bridge openings are so small you would have to live on the lake and use a boat from your house to do it.

A Channel 4 camera crew showed up to cover the drownings right when I was finshing my bike. This is a good parking site to start at. It is located on GM Road no more than 500 feet west of Milford Road. The dam is just down the hill another 500 feet or so. The Kensington Bike path continues on GM Road west from where and then turns south.
